The successful life is often a marathon for many with its destination promising happiness and fulfilment. Executive coach Andrew Hughes argues against this institutionalised paradigm with his own life as the backdrop. He urges us to ignore the “common” definition of success by facing our fears head on. He iterates – “If you’re looking for the saviour of your life, thats easy – look in the mirror”. Because only then do we live life like it matters. Andrew’s record of success while inspiring peak performance in others is impressive. A senior executive early in his legal career, Andrew juggled his family of six, work teams of up to 70, and personal multi-million dollar sales budgets, always insisting on authenticity. The results included world class staff engagement, peak team performance, sales growth up to 600% of budget, and an A-grade handicap. In 2007, Andrew turned his life into a living experiment, becoming a Clinical Practitioner of NLP and developing heart-centred techniques that lead to a transformation of life experience. As a motivational speaker who is also an author, executive coach, and leadership consultant, Andrew is coming to TEDxUNSW to share his energy and expertise with our audience to help them unlock their personal power and reveal the art of storytelling.
